Woolly Mammoths Upend Beavers, 7-4
UTICA, Mich. – Tyler Pagano went 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in, and Tommy Fuessel finished 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Westside Woolly Mammoths (3-2) over the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (3-4), 7-4, on Sunday afternoon at Jimmy John’s Field.
Right-handed pitcher Travis McQueen (1-1) earned the win, throwing 5.0 innings, striking out three and allowing two runs for the Mammoths.
Leading the Beavers offensively was Robb Paller, going 2-for-4, with a two-run home run and two runs scored.
The Woolly Mammoths scored seven runs, on nine hits, while the Beavers scored four runs, on 10 hits and had one error.
