Hoppers Win Over Mammoths, 4-3

UTICA, Mich. – The Eastside Diamond Hoppers (22-21) won over the Westside Woolly Mammoths (23-18), 4-3, in Sunday afternoon’s contest at Jimmy John’s Field.
Two Hoppers hit home runs, Todd Mattox and Noah Marcoux. Marcoux now leads the USPBL in home rune with nine. Mattox had one additional hit, ending the game with two. Zeb Roos and Luis Aviles had the remaining two runs for Eastside.
For the Mammoths, their runs came late, scoring two in the eighth and one in the ninth. Jose Cedeno hit his fourth home run of the season and Drew Fleming went 2-for-5 with one RBI. Dre Williams-Nelson had three hits and one run.
