Team Ben Beats Team Beau in 2024 All-Star Game

UTICA, Mich. – Utica Unicorns Jared Weber went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs to earn All-Star Game MVP honors, while Birmingham Bloomfield Beaver Matt Piotrowski finished with three hits and two runs and Unicorns’ Patrick Baggett ended the game going 2-for-3 with three runs scored to lead Team Ben over Team Beau, 10-6, on Friday night in front of a sell out crowd at the USPBL powered by UWM All-Star Game.
Earlier in the night, Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers Christian Ortega was crowned the Home Run Derby Champion with 13 home runs in the championship round. He defeated Eastside Diamond Hoppers Matt Goehrig in the final.
The Beavers’ Greg Loukinen made his way to the hill for Team Ben, fanning all three batters he faced in the third inning.
The Woolly Mammoths’ Drew Fleming led Team Beau with a 2-for-2 performance, driving in one run. Teammate Zach Beadle hit a grand slam in the fifth inning, scoring Colby Seltzer, Noah Marcoux and Fleming.
