Woolly Mammoths Take Down Diamond Hoppers, 7-4

UTICA, Mich. – Tyler Pagano went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, while Jalin Lawson finished 2-for-3 to lead the Westside Woolly Mammoths (16-15) over the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (14-15), 7-4, Wednesday on Woolly Wonka night at Jimmy John’s Field.
Josh Mason won his fourth consecutive start on the mound and league-best seventh win, tossing 7.0 innings, allowing four runs and struck out six Hoppers.
For the Hoppers, Brian Parreira and Brian Davis each crushed two-run home runs. Parreira led all offensive players, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Earning the save for the Woolly Mammoths was right-handed pitcher Clifton Landess III with a perfect ninth inning.
