Mammoths Defeat Unicorns, 7-2
UTICA, Mich. – Ryan Dobson hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning and right-handed pitcher Matt Cronin pitched 7.0 innings, allowing one run and striking out 10 as the Westside Woolly Mammoths defeated the Utica Unicorns, 7-2, on Thursday night at Jimmy John’s Field.
JaVon Shelby hit his fourth home run of the season and Ethan Wiskur had 3 RBIs on the night.
Leading the Unicorns at the plate was Jimmy Latona, going 2-for-3 with one run scored. RHP Ty Hensley tossed the 6.0 innings, allowing one run and striking out seven.

The Mammoths will be in action again on Friday against the Eastside Diamond Hoppers. It’s Friday Fireworks Spectacular and Fat Tire Friday. Gates will open at 6 p.m and first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
