UTICA, Mich. – The Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (12-18) mounted a late-inning rally to secure a 4–3 victory over the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (20-12) on Friday night at Jimmy John’s Field.

The game was a pitcher’s duel through seven innings, with Beavers starter Choyce Diffey striking out seven over six innings of one-run ball, and Hoppers ace Harry Orth fanning ten in seven scoreless frames.

The Beavers broke through in the top of the eighth, scoring four runs on three hits and capitalizing on a Hoppers error. Ryan Maka drove in the first run with an RBI single, while Pablo Ruiz added a sacrifice fly. A misplay in right field allowed two more runs to cross, giving the Beavers a 4–1 lead.

The Hoppers answered with single runs in the eighth and ninth, including a sacrifice fly by Sam Schner and an RBI from Chase Maifield, but their comeback fell short as Dominic Hann nailed down the save.
