UTICA, Mich. – The Eastside Diamond Hoppers (11-6) erupted for 10 runs in the first two innings and never looked back, cruising to a 12–5 win over the Utica Unicorns (9-8) in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
Jorge Gonzalez was electric at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs, including a pair of run-scoring hits in the first and second innings. Andrew Bergeron added power with a 2-run home run in the third and scored three times. David Kedrow chipped in a perfect 3-for-3 day with three RBIs of his own.
