Nick Caruso

Assistant Manager

Nick Caruso serves as Assistant Manager of the Westside Woolly Mammoths, bringing a strong background in both collegiate coaching and professional playing experience within the USPBL.

A native of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Caruso began his collegiate career at Macomb Community College before transferring to Youngstown State University. During his time at Youngstown State, he was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team in both 2020 and 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in 2020 and a Master of Arts in Professional Communication in 2021.

Caruso played professionally in the USPBL with the Westside Woolly Mammoths from 2021 to 2023. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, serving as Associate Head Coach at Macomb Community College and as an assistant coach at Ball State University.

Within the USPBL, Caruso has been part of multiple championship staffs, contributing as Assistant Manager for the Utica Unicorns in 2023 and the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers in 2024. He currently serves as Head Coach at Macomb Community College, continuing to develop players at the collegiate level while bringing leadership and experience to the Mammoths’ staff.
