Beavers Dominate Hoppers on Sunday, 18-6

UTICA, Mich. – The Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (5-3) offense exploded for 18 runs on 18 hits Sunday afternoon, defeating the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (0-8), 18-6, at UWM Field.
The Beavers jumped out early, scoring six runs in the first inning and adding three more in both the second and third innings to build a commanding lead. They continued to add on throughout the afternoon, finishing with 18 hits and 15 RBIs.
Matt Piotrowski led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, four runs scored, and two RBIs. Kaehukai Young also had a big day at the plate, collecting three hits and driving in four runs, while Anthony Abbatine added three hits and two RBIs.
Despite trailing throughout the game, the Hoppers mounted a rally in the seventh inning. Josh Burke highlighted the frame with a three-run home run and finished the day 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Chase Maifield added a hit and an RBI, while Brendan Seman recorded two hits in the contest.
Ethan Alexander earned the win for the Beavers, allowing just one run over six innings while striking out four. The Hoppers offense was limited to seven hits on the afternoon.
