Mike Rice

Assistant Manager

Mike Rice is entering his second year with the United Shore Professional Baseball League. This is his first year as the Assistant Manager for the Eastside Diamond Hoppers.

Rice currently serves as the Head Coach at Cardinal Mooney High School. He has been leading the team since 2017. While coaching at Mooney, he has won back-to-back-to-back Regional Coach of the Year. In 2021 Cardinal Mooney was a State Finalist. Rice is also the Owner and Founder of Detroit Prospects where he also is the Director of Baseball Operations, College Recruiting and Infield Coordinator. Detroit Prospects is a High School and College Prep Baseball Organization with over 250 members. They are responsible with helping over 100 players moving on to College and Pro Level Organizations.

Rice played two years of college ball at Macomb Community College. While playing there, his Head Coach was Ernie Whitt, former Toronto Blue Jay and current Head Coach of Team Canada.
