Bat Dog

JJ, The Field General, presented by Michigan First Credit Union, joined the USPBL in 2018 as the league’s full-time bat dog. He was born in California, and after spending a brief period of time in Ohio for training, he made his way to Historic Downtown Utica and Jimmy John’s Field.

During games JJ delivers water to the umpires with a basket in his mouth, plays frisbee on the field with his favorite trainers from Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs, retrieves bats from the field, and brings flowers to his Sweetheart of the Game in the grandstands.

He enjoys long walks, meeting new people, and hanging out with the front office staff in the off-season. Follow JJ on Instagram at jj_the_field_general!
