ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Utica Unicorns have won eight of their last nine games and are riding a three-game winning streak to highlight This Week in the USPBL. The Unicorns currently hold a three-game lead in the standings at 9-2.
The Diamond Hoppers had a six-run ninth inning last Sunday to rally past the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers, 8-7. The Hoppers have won four of their last five games are currently sit in second place.
The Woolly Mammoths’ Sonny Cortez took over the batting lead and is currently hitting .432 on the season. Local player and Diamond Hoppers standout Pat Adams ranks second in the league with a .405 average, and Eastside’s right-handed pitcher Noah Gotsis leads the league with a 1.29 earned run average.
